8 Ways to Apply Living Luminizer—The Original Multitasker

If you’ve ever wondered what put RMS on the map, you’re looking at it. Our original Luminizer, coined and created by our founder Rose-Marie Swift, is the glow that started it all. Loved by makeup artists, models, and just about everyone who’s ever tried it, this little pot of light delivers that signature RMS glow—never glittery, never greasy, always effortlessly radiant.
The original multitasker, we're constantly finding new ways to use Luminizer, but here are the eight ways we know for certain you're going to love and how to do it the Rose-Marie way for the most natural, luminous finish.

1. Cheekbones
Use your fingers to warm up a small amount of Luminizer, then tap (don’t rub!) one finger-width below the outer corner of your eye, following your natural cheekbone. Rose-Marie says the trick is to “let the product melt into the skin”—you’re not layering, you’re fusing. This enhances your bone structure without a harsh contour.
2. Brow Bone
Lightly press the Luminizer right underneath the arch of your brow to give the illusion of a lift. Rose-Marie recommends using your pinky for precision—just a subtle sheen will catch the light and brighten your entire eye area.
3. Center of the Eyelid
After applying your eyeshadow (or even on bare lids), tap a dot of Luminizer directly in the center of your eyelid. This draws light to the middle of the eye, making them look rounder and more awake. Use your ring finger for this—it has the softest touch.
4. Inner Corners of the Eyes
Rose-Marie calls this the “instant wake-up” trick. With your pinky, dab a tiny bit right into the inner corner (near the tear duct) and blend slightly. It’s subtle but transformative—like sleep in a pot.
5. Bridge of the Nose
Swipe a teeny bit down the center of your nose for subtle definition. To keep it natural, stop before you hit the tip. Rose-Marie warns against using too much here—“It should look like healthy skin, not a disco ball.”
6. Cupid’s Bow
Highlight your upper lip by tapping a dot right at the cupid’s bow. This instantly adds dimension and makes lips look fuller—especially when paired with Lip2Cheek or Legendary Lip Oil.

7. Collarbones + Shoulders
Going sleeveless or strapless? Rose-Marie suggests warming a bit of Luminizer between your fingers and gently sweeping it across your collarbones and shoulders for that just-got-back-from-vacation glow. A fan favorite backstage before the runway (and cocktails).
8. Knuckles
Yes, really. Rose-Marie has been known to dab a little onto her knuckles before a night out—especially if she’s holding a martini. The result? Effortlessly radiant hands that catch the light just so. It’s a subtle trick that makes everything feel more polished (and photogenic).
The Glow That Keeps On Giving
There’s a reason Living Luminizer has been a cult favorite for over a decade. Its coconut oil base melts into skin, the mica reflects light without harsh shimmer, and the effect is always—you guessed it—luminous.
