Brontouring 101, RMS style

Brontouring 101, RMS style

Brontouring—it’s contouring’s soft, sunkissed sister. When contouring, a dark, cool shade is used to create or intensify shadows and build the illusion of a sharper facial structure. Serious contouring typically involves a full palette of pigmented shades and super-precise application—which a lot of us just don’t have the time or energy to do every day. Plus, everyone’s loving an effortless, healthy-looking glow these days. We’re guessing that’s why brontouring is gaining so much traction online (anyone else have this trend all over their TikTok For You page?)

With our signature (i.e.easier and quicker) technique, you’ll use a natural, glowy bronze tone to create a sculpted look that’s less intense than a dark contour, while warming the points of your face that are naturally kissed by the sun. This adds soft dimension, shape, and a natural-looking lift. Since you’re just using one buildable product to add warmth, there’s no need to be super specific with your application—if product goes a little further than you intended, it just adds to the overall sun-touched vibe. We love using Buriti Bronzer for this—it melts into the skin as you apply it, so you’ll end up with a perfectly glowy no-makeup makeup look. Ready to try it out?

Get Sunkissed & Sculpted in 4 Simple Steps

Step 1: Prep

We love our cream products, and a hydrated base ensures they’re easy to blend. Nourish your skin by massaging Beauty Oil onto the face and neck, following with ReEvolve Primer to lock in all of the skincare benefits, give skin even more hydration and ensure your end makeup look lasts for up to 12 hours. Then, spot conceal with a dab of UnCoverup Concealer wherever you’d like a bit of undetectable coverage.

Step 2: Contour

Using our Skin2Skin Blush Brush, blend Buriti Bronzer into the natural hollows of your face. Apply just below the cheekbones, on the temples, the sides of your nose, and under the brow bone. Make sure to blend upwards to create lift and definition, and avoid applying the product too low on the cheeks.

Step 3: Bronze

Using what’s left on your brush, buff a hint of Buriti Bronzer wherever the sun would naturally kiss your face, like the bridge of your nose and the top of the cheeks.

Step 4: Highlight

Finish the look with Living Luminizer on the high points of your face—your cupid’s bow, brow bone, cheekbones, and wherever you want a dewy glow. It layers perfectly over Buriti Bronzer and creates a seamless finish.

Enjoy your chiseled radiance, sun goddess!
