How to Recycle Every Part of Your RMS Beauty Routine

Dealing with RMS empties? Don't throw them in the trash! Every component of our packaging is either curbside recyclable or recyclable through PACT Collective, a non-profit that helps responsibly recycle hard-to-process beauty packaging. From our iconic glass jars to aluminum tubes and refillable systems, we’re committed to minimizing waste at every step.
Below, we break down how to recycle each product in your RMS routine—and how our clean beauty packaging is designed with both the planet and performance in mind.

📦 Outer Cartons: Thoughtfully Designed from Start to Finish
Even our outer cartons are sustainable. Every RMS Beauty box is crafted using certified, responsible materials:
-
All unit cartons are made with 80% post-consumer recycled Mohawk paper, except for ReEvolve Natural Finish Foundation, which features 100% PCW content
-
All cartons are forestry certified
-
Printed with vegetable-based inks for a low-impact footprint
🌱 Our Packaging Philosophy
Since our founding in 2009, we’ve used recyclable glass jars to package many of our most-loved products. As the industry evolved, so did we — but our commitment to sustainability never changed. Today, we continue to:
-
Source easy-to-recycle materials like aluminum for our Eyelights tubes
-
Transition all plastic lids to 100% PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled plastic) — including cult-favorites like UnCoverup Concealer, Living Luminizer, Lip2Cheek, and Buriti Bronzer
-
Incorporate PCR plastic wherever possible — even in the white casings of our ReEvolve Primer and Foundation
♻️ What Is PACT Collective?
PACT Collective is a non-profit organization taking responsibility for the beauty industry’s packaging problem — and RMS Beauty is proud to be a member. PACT partners with retailers like Ulta and other beauty locations across the U.S. to provide drop-off bins for hard-to-recycle beauty empties. That includes mascara wands, pumps, caps, compacts, and other components that can’t go in your curbside bin.
To find a location near you, visit PACTCollective.org/locations and drop off your empties during your next beauty run.
🌍 The Future Is Circular
We’re constantly seeking better, smarter, and more sustainable solutions—from the materials we source to the partners we work with. Together, with your help, we’re proving that performance, luxury, and sustainability can (and should) go hand in hand.
